Harlem

A cultural enclave since the 1920s, the Harlem of today is an increasingly diverse community that preserves and celebrates a rich and evolving heritage. There is seemingly something for everyone here, from families to culture vultures to foodies. Harlem is the home of the legendary Apollo Theatre, the Mayles Documentary Center and the Studio Museum of Harlem, to name a few. Its location provides easy access to Central Park and several bodies of water including the Hudson, East and Harlem Rivers. And over the years it’s become a bucket-list destination for foodies, with global offerings, including a Michelin-starred sushi restaurant, joining the more expected and established Southern and Soul Food spots.
